I don’t know about y’all, but I love Fall. I actually don’t think that I can communicate in coherent sentences how I feel about this season. The days start to get shorter, the nights come sooner, we indulge in foods that warm our souls and our tummies, and we are just a few months away from the holidays. I could probably list a bajillion reasons for why I love Fall so much, but here are my top ten, in no particular order:
1. Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Lattes: This is seriously the only type of coffee-like beverage that I will drink. And I don’t even like coffee. *Let it sink in*. Yeah. It’s that good.
2. Friday night football games: There is no better way to finish a week of school than to spend it with friends in the Red Sea at the Friday game. It’s even better if we win.
3. Pumpkin freakin’ pie: AKA, the best food ever. Add a mountain of whipped cream on top, and you’re good to go. This is literally what Heaven tastes like.
4. Apples are in season: The rest of the year, I don’t even know that apples exist. But once September rolls around, I’m craving the things.
5. Fall fashion: Cute boots, snazzy scarves, and layers that hide stuff that need to be hidden (see pumpkin pie). ‘Nuff said.
6. Leaves: I love the crunchy sound that leaves make when I walk on them. I WILL go out of my way to step on a leaf that looks semi-crunchy.
7. Seeing my breath in the air: Blowing steam-rings is extremely entertaining when waiting for your bus in the morning. Yes. I still ride the bus to school.
8. Thanksgiving: A day to give thanks, eat awesome food, and watch football. Life doesn’t get any better than that.
9. Candy corn: A lot of people think that candy corn is nasty, but I love it. The little pumpkins are my favorite.
10. No mosquitoes: Toodleoo Summer, and buh-bye mosquitoes. I think this one can go without an explanation.
