Jazz Ensemble receives superior rating at District Jazz Assessment

After traveling to Albemarle High School Saturday, Feb.16 for the Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association District Jazz Assessment, our Jazz Ensemble received a superior rating. It was the group’s first time traveling to this event, where bands are judged in the areas of balance/ blend, intonation, phrasing, dynamics, time, interpretation, precision, excitement, colors/ textures, programming, stage presence, choice of materials and communication by a panel of judges
